When you get a reasonably warm, considering the unpredictability of autumn, and still vibrantly colored afternoon, the 25-35 mph wind gusts are really of no consequence.  You take on the elements knowing that this is the inherent beauty of fall.  My goodness, am I glad that the winds did not sway this family, for I am not sure that we could have had any more wonderful a time together.  Their joy in being near to each other was so evident, and it seemed to take minimal guidance on my part to pull out the smiles that engaged such adoration.  Such is my “why” for lifestyle photography.  Everyone can look at the camera and smile on cue (well, that is with the exception of a curious toddler), but not every kind of smile tells a story.  Meet the Branning family.
