I was commenting to this sweet Mama how one of the elements of family photography that I so adore is that through only a brief time together – one 90 minute session – I feel as though I have the privilege of absorbing each unique family dynamic in that short time.  In an era where we are given the sense of knowing one another, where social media has led us to believe that we are seeing and being seen, I believe that you cannot truly embrace the uniqueness of another until you experience them with your senses.  And just perhaps for the families I have the joy of photographing, they too need this 90 minute session to know each other again.
