Oh my how I have been aching to take photographs again, and to do so for the first time in quite some time given the surrounding pandemic, was incredibly fulfilling. This family certainly made it easy to remember my love for photography. Their sweet girl was marvelously inquisitive, unsure of the grass between her toes, and full of expression, allowing me to engage the unique parts of her personality as these two parents watched her admire the world under her feet. I did not need to instruct them to engage with their eyes, for they naturally gazed at one another, and so the moments available to me to capture their interactions were endless. Oh and did I mention that it was supposed to storm? So thankful they were willing to hold out. The night was a gorgeous one!
The art of photography may be resting on unsteady ground these days, but I am filled with such gratitude for the family that was willing to embrace a mask wearing photographer on a mosquito ridden evening and call it worthwhile. Thank you.
